Topic: New guitar for Joe?

I saw this video earlier today just briefly of a guy getting his guitar signed and seeing Joe backstage in Spain - now, I think he was playing Slow Train (cannot remember now), but it was the guitar that caught my eye...

It was like a Les Paul with a Strat-style headstock - all the machineheads on one side - it looked excellent and sounding pretty amazing (sadly the guy has taken the video down now)...thought it was 12-string, but didn't sound like it as he played solo bits single note-style.

Anyone know what it could be?

1.34ish and 1.43+

It seems like a L.P with a Firebird headstock...?  hmm

he played in Dublin on thursday night and he played 3 different types of LP only other guitar he used was an acoustic.

wow a Les Paul with a Firebird headstock.... I guess creativity has hit an all time low. Why cant we get gibson to actually design an interesting new guitar.

Gibson are damned if they do damned if they don't. I don't think Gibson need to comeup with any interesting new guitars. They already have some of the most iconic guitars. If it ain't broke don't fix it but a little tweaking here and there is a good thing.

Bring back the Futura Explorer with V headstock!!!

- what about the new design for Zakk Wylde? the 1/2 SG, 1/2 V? I thought that was pretty cool.

No sighting of the guitar during the show in Bridlington last night :-

We saw:-

Bonamassa LP 052 - The one with cream plastic
Bonaburst LP
Candy Apple Blue Bonamassa LP
An amber LP historic possibly an R8 or R9 but not the one with the Bigsby
Ibanez Destroyer (Explorer) - Korina, 70s litigation model
EB Albert Lee HHH
EB John Petrucci
Flying V
