Topic: Joe's Rig for BCC gig 12/29

Some great video over on the Shows Review section.  Anyone know what amp that is on top of the Marshall heads?

Re: Joe's Rig for BCC gig 12/29

I came here wondering the same thing. I am guessing the marshalls were DSL2000's?

I think they were stock DSLs at full whack...

I thought the amp above was an old Selmer or Carlbro Plexi style amp...? But what was that logo?
BIG FAT EDIT:
I think it might be a Laney Klipp 60w (I'm guessing a Plexi-style amp) - Not sure how it was mixed (always on with the Marshalls) - from where I was the other night - I preferred this tone over his four-amp-boutique setup (maybe I'm crazy, but it was all out ballsiness).

Whats that, guys? The price of those Laneys has tripled on ebay now?  roll

Also noticed that Rob Kendrick (Trapeze) used a 100w model of this (on ebay)...bit of a nice coincidence there...

I noticed Glenn was using Laney amps and cabs - the Nexus Mosfet 650w heads (I think off the top of my head).
Maybe Laney was being very nice to them for the gigs...  wink

Dave you are right on it.  When it was decided that we were going to do John Henry I needed a moog.  So I bought a theramin and had it shipped to wolverhampton. Then I realized the dsl-2000 s only had one input per amp.  So the day before the gig I was out for coffee with Kevin and we stumbled upon the local guitar shop.  I noticed the Laney and the fact that it was 400 quid.  So for the BCC shows it ran the moog. But it's an excellent sounding guitar amp. I'm currently on a vintage Laney kick!!!  Black country amp company.

If that was the shop around the corner from the Civic Hall, Michael & I almost popped in to ask if you popped in. I figured you found one nevertheless!
