“If Heartaches Were Nickels”
I wish you could see me
All broken down this way
But even if you saw me, baby
I know I still couldn’t make you stay
Couldn’t make you stay
You know about the high cost of loving baby
But someday, someday
You’re gonna have to pay
Gonna have to pay
Oh, a woman like you needs fine things
And I knew [...]
“Pain and Sorrow”
Sparkle as the tears come
They glitter as they fall
You sacrifice your love
For the wonder of it all
But I will, and you won’t
And I deal, and you don’t, yeah
Chorus:
Livin’ on pain and sorrow
Until you find another way
Livin’ on pain and sorrow
Until I find another way
Where’s your silver lining?
Where’s your long lost friend?
The emptiness is [...]
“Bridge to Better Days”
You sit in your big house baby
you drive your fancy car
you treat me like I’m not there
but I guess that’s who you are
*Well I’m on the bridge to better days
better days are coming now
tired of asking all my friends
please help me once more
this old life that I’m leading
got me down on the [...]
“Tea for One”
How come twenty four hours, Baby sometimes seem to slip into days?
Oh twenty-four hours, Baby sometimes seem to slip into days
One minute seems like a lifetime, baby when I feel this way
Sittin, lookin at the clock yeah.., time moves so slow
I’ve been watchin for the hands to move
Until I just can’t think no [...]
“The Great Flood”
It’s been too long , since i said i loved you
It’s been too long , since i cared
It’s been too long , since i said i loved you
It’s been too long , since i cared
Well my conscience is finally clear
I been waiting all these years
Well it’s raining , all day and night
The great [...]
“Had To Cry Today”
It’s already written that
Today will be one to remember
Feeling’s the same as
Being outside of your door
Had to cry today.. Yeah, yeah
Well I saw your sign
And I missed you there
…Missed you there
I’m taking the chance to see
The wind in your eyes while I listen
You say you can’t reach me
But you want everyone to [...]
“Asking Around For You”
If i get to heaven
the first thing i’ll do
Fore’ I meet my maker
I’m gonna ask around for you
all of heaven gotta know
your beauty all too true
I’ll tap an angel on the shoulder
and I’ll be asking around for you
She found a place up there
where we all can sit and talk a while
play some [...]
“High Water Everywhere”
Well there’s high water everywhere
Lord the river overflows
Well there’s high water everywhere
Lord the river overflows
You go where its high boy
Down to hill country road
Still the water was rising
I been sinking down
Man, that water was rising
At all places around
Where the fifty men and children, come to sink and drown
Now we’re looking at New Orleans, [...]
“Story of a Quarryman”
Gonna buy me a bucket and a hammer of nails
Board up the windows and head for the trails
And that’s what i get for sticking my chin out
Well a kick in the teeth and a mind full of doubt
I brought this on for my own hands
The precious disgrace from my own hands
If i [...]
“Ball Peen Hammer”
I wanna go there, I wanna climb
Now I don’t know about no law, I don’t see no crime
Ain’t no reason, ain’t no rest
I wanna get down to the woman and get undressed
And I can’t stand it, I can’t stand it
I can’t wait to see them walls falling down
Tell me Jesus, why they run
Is [...]
“Woke Up Dreaming”
Woke up dreaming,
I was gonna die.
Woke up dreaming,
I was gonna die.
‘Cause my baby said her,
Said her last goodbyes.
Reached out for her,
And she was not there.
Reached out for her,
And she was not there.
Lord I miss her body,
And her long brown hair.
Heart rate fallin’ – river flood,
Black cat bawlin’ – moon drippin’ blood.
Woke up dreamin’, [...]

The Mighty Joe. If you have not seen him live then make sure you do at the earliest opportunity. The recordings here do lack a certain amount of depth but still give you some idea of the immense talent on display and I include all the band in that comment. A guitarist friend of mine describes Joe as ‘average Joe’ . Let me state here and now there is nothing average about Joe he is one hell of a musician, From what I have seen he is also a terrific human being who has genuine respect and arffection for all his fans. if you were not aware Joe is a regular DJ on Planet Rock and that alone speaks volumes about the guy. Keep on rockin’ Joe and i will se you in Llandudno Wales in November.

nice video Joe.. BUT , awful sound!
Was surprised to listen to how load the drums were and how down in the mix the guitar was – ironical as was at the launch of a new Marshall….
Still, JB made it worth a view..
