Topic: Odd Les Paul Nashille show

Anybody know the story on the Les Paul Joe played at the Nov 2010 show in Nashville? It was a single humbucker LP cherry burst with a Firebird headstock really insane looking. I thought maybe it was something Gibson hooked him up with when he was here im town. Here is a pic hope the link works.

Seems people think its an 80's model...maybe a reissue from gibson?

Looks mighty clean to be from the 80's must be a reissue proto or a one off for Joe, maybe he will clear it up for us.

The code word for it is "Bona-Byrd"  Its a one off that Gibson Custon did for me.  Thank you Rick Gembar , Pat Foley and Edwin for doing such a cool guitar.. Just used it in the pictures for Guitar World.  Its ace...

When Joe pulled it out in Tulsa the guy behind me said "Holy %$^# what is that, a Les Paul with a Firebird headstock?"

I think it's awsome. How many les pauls are out there with normal headstocks?

If Albert King's Flying V can have a les paul headstock, why can't one of Joe's LPs have a Firebird one?  cool
